My dad gave me this old wood racing sailboat. It’s called a SNIPE. So, I thought I would get the kids involved and restore it.
A plastic filler has been applied to the deck to fill all the surface imperfections. Now, sanding and “blocking” of the filler will produce the nice smooth, flat surface prior to finishing.
An etching primer is applied to the prepped and sanded metal trailer. A top coat of metal paint will finish the job.
Trailer rebuilt, boat not perfect but a good, fast racing sailboat from the 60’s!
Completed!
Enjoying the fruits of our hard work!
