This particular wood flooring utilizes 4 different widths. When the wood mill sent the flooring, it was just delivered as a single pallet all intermixed……….
How do you figure out how much of each width do you use so all flooring is used? Each width was tallied in lineal foot terms. After tally, it was uncovered that the 2 and 3″ widths had twice as much as the 4 and 5″ widths.
A pattern of 2/4/3/2/5/3 was decided.
At this ratio mix, the flooring will be used up at an even rate.
