What starts as a wood floor refinish project, grows to new wood ceilings, some french doors, interior repaint, trim work, shoji door build and so on. Over the years throwing in some restoration work keeps it fresh and new as well as utilizing a design/architecture desire that I’ve held for years!
While in Japan years ago, I learned trim and door work from a master restoration carpenter from Madison, Wisconsin.
