A recoat of wood flooring runs about a 1/3 the cost of refinishing the floor. If the existing finish on your floor is loosing its shine (but has not worn through to the bare wood) we generally can add another coat to extend the life of the floor. An onsite inspection can verify a floor candidate.
For the floor in this picture, I used the following are steps:
- wet sanding with a mild degreaser
- a hot water wash of the degreaser
- thorough cleaning
- apply top coating
